Learn how to throw ceramics on the wheel in a private or duo 4 part course.
This wheel throwing course is the perfect introduction to the art of wheel throwing. I will guide you through the basic throwing principles (centering, opening and pulling up the clay and practicing with different shapes). After these 4 sessions you will know the basics of this beautiful craft and you'll have made your own ceramic pieces on the wheel.
Learning a craft takes time. Especially with ceramics, patience in required! This 4 part course consists of 4 sessions of 2 hrs in which you'll learn the whole process from preparing the clay to throwing and finishing your piece(s).
This course takes place in my cozy home studio in the city centre of Amersfoort. We will schedule the dates & time together all within a 4-6 week window. This can be on workdays, weekends and evenings.
Want to bring someone? Book a duo course! As I only have one wheel, you will alternate. Watching each other throw is in fact really instructive. You can also choose to alternate between wheel throwing and handbuilding, so you've learned the basics of both techniques after this course.

Good to know
After the course, I will fire your pieces. This can take up to 4-6 weeks. When they are finished, you can pick them up or I can pack and ship them to you at additional costs.
